The October Issue of MetaboNews features the SpOtLight Article on the “Reporting Standards for Quality Control Samples in Untargeted Metabolic Phenotyping“ by Jennifer Kirwan and Ian Wilson on behalf of the Metabolomics Quality Assurance & Quality Control Consortium (mQACC) Reporting Standards Working Group. Check out more about this open-access review.
Dr. Jennifer Kirwan now heads the Berlin Institute of Health Metabolomics Platform at Charité University Hospital in Berlin, where she focuses on translational health-related metabolomics, especially on its quality management aspects.
Prof. Ian Wilson moved to Imperial College London in 2012 to a personal Chair in Drug Metabolism and Molecular Toxicology (where he is now a visiting Professor, as well as holding a similar position at Liverpool University). He has been actively involved in metabolic phenotyping (metabonomics/metabolomics).

This issue also summarizes the Metabolomics-related conferences in 2022 − CONFERENCE CORNER.
It started with the 18th International Conference of the Metabolomics Society, which was held in Valencia, Spain June 19-23, 2022 with an inordinate response from the community with a total of 897 registrants from across the globe. The Metabolomics Society Award recipients’ mini-interview was also featured in the MetaboNews July 2022 Issue.
