Description

TMIC’s Goodlett Node at the University of Victoria offers advanced Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MSI) using the timsTOF fleX MALDI-2 system. This platform combines ion mobility and MALDI-2 laser technology for high sensitivity and spatial resolution (20–100 µm), with integrated LC-MS/MS for in-depth molecular analysis.

MSI enables detailed, spatially-resolved mapping of metabolites, lipids, proteins, drugs, glycans and toxins, while preserving tissue structure. It supports research in health, toxicology, agriculture, and environmental science, and can be combined with histology or immunohistochemistry for deeper insights.
