Do you love science? So do we. TMIC gets it one step closer. Not only do we continue to be inquisitive about science, but we also work hard to upgrade both our technologies and quality management system to facilitate our curiosity to reveal deeper into the metabolomics world. You can rely on us for the best services and quality results.
Quality Management System
We have the certification on ISO 17025 Accreditation that proves a laboratory has an acceptable quality management system in place and has the ability and competence to provide testing and calibration results.

We are also on track to obtaining more certifications to serve you better. Wishart’s lab is on its way to earning both its CLIA certification and its ISO 15189 certification. With this ISO 15189, we will have the standard and capability of a medical testing lab under international standard requirements. The Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) statute of 1988 (USA) and its associated regulations specify the quality standards for laboratory testing performed on human specimens, including blood, body fluid, and tissue, for the purpose of diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease, or assessment of health.
New Assay
Due to the high demand for exploring the plant world, Li’s node expanded its global/discovery assay to cover accurate relative quantification of up to 8,275 plant metabolites in comparative samples, including plant hormones, secondary metabolites, primary metabolites, and many other general pathway-related metabolites.

New Instruments
Thanks to a successful CFI-IF grant, with contributions from the Government of Alberta, LECO, and GERSTEL, the Harynuk’s group is adding two new instruments to their laboratory including a GC×GC-BT and a GC×GC-HRT+. This will greatly expand their capacity to support research studies and add the capacity for high-resolution accurate-mass spectrometric detection. The new technology is expected to be fully operational in January 2023.
